Those of you who are regular NYTimes.com readers are probably already aware that the site will begin limiting viewing of articles starting March 28. To continue accessing New York Times articles, try using the Kirkwood Libraries’ subscription to Lexis-Nexis. It provides full-text access to New York Times articles going back to 1980 and is updated every day. Try it out! Simply go to the Library’s homepage (www.kirkwood.edu/library) and click on Lexis-Nexis under “Databases”. There are 3 different ways to access the content — try them out to see which one you prefer:

1. If you want to search by subject, type your subject into the search box under “Search the News” and start typing “New York Times” in the “Source Title” box then select it when it pops up.

2. If you’d rather just browse today’s articles, click on “Power Search” in the upper left corner. Next to “Specify Date” select “Today”, and next to “Select Source” start typing “New York Times” and select the title when it pops up.

3. And yet another option — if you add this  New York Times URL <http://journalfinder.wtcox.com/kirkwood/logacce.asp?v=5&j=2504&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Elexisnexis%2Ecom%2Fhottopics%2Flnacademic%2F%3Fverb%3Dsr%26csi%3D6742> to your bookmarks, it will take you directly to the Power Search page described in bullet point 2.
