Engineers Week (yes there really IS such a thing!) is celebrated this year during the week of February 16 -22.

Engineers Week—the only event of its kind—is a time to:

  • Celebrate how engineers make a difference in our world
  • Increase public dialogue about the need for engineers
  • Bring engineering to life for kids, educators, and parents

More than a week-long event, Engineers Week is a year-round commitment to making a difference.

For more information about Engineering and Engineers Week go to the DiscoverE Engineers Week website at http://www.discovere.org/our-programs/engineers-week to see all kinds of information such as 10 Reasons to Love Engineering, Career Outlook, Engineering Careers, Preparing for College, and more!

To join in the celebration, the Kirkwood Community College Library has set up an Engineers Week display that includes a sampling of engineering related books and ebooks that we have available for checkout or online viewing.  We’ve also put out some engineering crossword puzzles and word searches that you can pick up and do at your leisure – perhaps during a study break!

To all the engineering students here at Kirkwood – keep up the good work and we look forward to you getting out there and improving the world!
