We Iowans like to see ourselves as leaders in the field of education, so here at Kirkwood Community College Library Services we couldn’t believe that Iowa wasn’t included as one of the states that officially proclaimed Information Literacy Awareness Month the last few years. This year a committee from the Iowa Library Association, headed up by President Mary Heinzman got the proclamation signed by the governor and October is indeed officially Information Literacy Awareness Month in Iowa.
